Ted has been an energy investment banker and venture investor for the last two decades focusing on the intersection of energy and technology. He was previously the Digital Investment Officer of Tokyo Gas based between Tokyo and Menlo Park, California and is currently advising large energy corporations and private equity funds on both sides of the Pacific.
Prior to Tokyo Gas, Ted was the Managing Director and Head of Global Energy at CITIC Securities in Beijing (the largest investment bank in China), the Asia Head of Energy Origination at Citigroup Investment Bank in Singapore, and a senior banker in various global banks such as JP Morgan and Barclays Capital. Ted started his career in Houston, Texas with Enron Capital & Trade in 1998 as a financial analyst, and has worked subsequently across markets in North America and Asia, including the US, Canada, Japan, Korea, Singapore, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and India.
