EnerTech Invests in Leading Fleet Tire Management Company Aperia Technologies Inc. as Part of Investment Strategy in the Rapidly Growing Fleet Management Market
May 16, 2023, Toronto, ON & Philadelphia, PA – EnerTech is pleased to announce its investment in San Francisco-based Tire Management company Aperia Technologies, an industry leader dedicated to solving commercial fleets’ most pressing challenges at the wheel end through active tire inflation hardware and predictive maintenance software. EnerTech participated in a previously announced $45 million growth round of funding led by Limerock New Energy.
The new funds will accelerate Aperia’s product development roadmap, growth in the markets it serves, and new customer delivery models to solidify its position as the industry leader in tire management solutions that reduce operating costs and improve the environmental performance of fleet operators globally.
Aperia’s Halo Tire Management suite combines self-powered tire pressure automation hardware with a machine-learning analytics platform to deliver powerful operational, safety, and sustainability improvements to commercial trucking. The technology improves the fuel economy of traditional diesel vehicles, extends the range of electric vehicles, and can serve broad fleet applications across vehicle classes.
With nearly one million tires under management in North America, the growth capital will enable Aperia to bring its comprehensive, user-friendly line-up of tire management solutions to commercial fleets worldwide.
“We are excited to have EnerTech join the latest round of funding and believe their industry insight and long history with a number of key Corporate Strategic Partners will provide significant value to our growth strategy,” said Josh Carter, CEO of Aperia Technologies.
“Aperia is well aligned with the investment strategy in our latest fund (EnerTech Global Strategic Mobility Fund) and addresses the growing opportunities in the world of fleet maintenance. The rapidly expanding global opportunities in tire management and predictive maintenance, provide Aperia with a massive market opportunity for their IOT and sensor-based Halo platform,” said Wally Hunter, Managing Director, EnerTech Capital.
As a leading firm in the mobility space, EnerTech has assumed a key role in building broad innovation partnerships, specifically working to create improved business engagement between corporate industry leaders and early-stage innovation companies. EnerTech has a long history of deep engagement with corporate LPs in their funds since 1996 and has built a strong ecosystem in both the US and Canada.
