SOFDESK, A MONTREAL-BASED SALES ACCELERATOR, RECEIVES A MAJOR ROUND OF FINANCING

February 22, 2017, Toronto, Montreal, Philadelphia - EnerTech Capital ("EnerTech") announced today that it has entered into a $ 3 million round of financing (Series A) in Montreal-based Sofdesk Inc. BDC Capital participates to this financing, led by EnerTech Capital. Wally Hunter, executive director of EnerTech, will join the board of directors.

Sofdesk works mainly in the fields of solar energy and roofing. This young company helps its clients reduce their project management costs and the acquisition of new clients. Sofdesk offers a unique platform that accelerates sales, solidifies their infrastructure and enables their customers to grow much faster through automation tools, quote creation, project management and design. Sofdesk's flagship products are Solargraf (solar) and Roofgraf (roofing). Sofdesk is also developing solutions for the insurance and utility market.

Achieving a residential solar project can require hundreds of hours and substantial effort related to the stages of sales, marketing, multi-stakeholder intervention and installation. Sofdesk substantially reduces their costs and allows users to find new customers, finance and efficiently manage their projects in a single platform.

"We are pleased to support this young, innovative and entrepreneurial team. With very few resources, Sofdesk has demonstrated its ability to grow rapidly by acquiring more than 617 solar installers, while solidifying its market positioning. This round of financing will allow them to quickly spread this platform in several other markets and strengthen its team. Our investment in Sofdesk represents the 12th investment of the EnerTech IV fund. This company also brings tremendous synergies with our sponsors and strategic partners, as well as with the companies in our portfolio, " said EnerTech Capital Executive Director Wally Hunter.

"BDC Capital's ICE Fund is pleased to support these extremely talented young entrepreneurs who work in the fast-growing solar industry. This investment will allow them to grow their footprint in North America, and we are proud to be able to offer them our support, " said Tony Van Bommel, Senior Managing Partner, Industrial, Clean and Energy Technologies Fund.

"We are pleased with the results achieved in such a short time and believe that with this investment round, we will grow the business significantly across our different market segments. The innovative combination of our sales accelerator, our talented team and the value added by the EnerTech Capital and BDC Capital investor team positions us for exponential growth, " said Lennie Moreno, CEO of Sofdesk.
